This is a recap of all the talks, presentations, and publications I’ve done this year. This year was especially interesting for me given my recent switch to a career in public policy. Like with any public facing role, it is often difficult to cleave your personal and academic profile from your professional profile. In other words, my switch to public policy meant being a lot more careful about how I present myself in public settings, including my social media presence. With that, I turned down many speaking engagements after May this year (also because I was studying for the California bar). Additionally, there were a few presentations I gave this year that I feel were not my best. However, I recognize that speaking publicly (and professionally) brings with it a new learning curve and new opportunities for me to improve.
I look forward to entertaining more speaking engagements next year. I especially love any opportunities to guest lecture at law schools specifically on intermediary liability topics. Lastly, I look forward to continuing to build out my academic portfolio.
